Announcement!

It's been about 2 days since I realized that I am a huge fan of "haul" videos. If you don't know what those are, basically, they are videos where someone vlogs about things they have bought, it includes description and a review (if you've used it before, and if you haven't, what you think about it).

So my announcement is that: I will be working on a haul video on my own. If I'm not mistaken, my first haul video would be of the Sephora items which I will be going to *hopefully* next weekend, and I should be posting it up after the weekend *hopefully*. But as far as the timeline is concerned, I can't really promise you much. All I can promise is that I definitely will be doing a haul video.

I know I can't ask for much, but I really hope for your support. :)

Movie Review: Kung Fu Panda 2: The Return of Awesomeness

So I watched Kung Fu Panda 2 with my "uncles" (similar age group), my cousin sister and brother and my sister.

It was EPIC! I underestimated the feel of the show, and honestly, it was an all-star cast and it was amazing! I got hell from my "uncle" cos he was complaining that I made him watch the movie in 2D instead of 3D. Haha. Honestly, I prefer watching in 2D cos I got a headache from watching 3D the last time (refer to last Movie Review post). So I was very happy when I didn't have to watch this in 3D. :P

I'm also not that into sequels. For some reason, I think that movies which need to have sequels, are not real movies. Movies like Inception, do not require part 2! Movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, should have sequels, cos it's THAT awesome! I kinda make my mind up based on the first movie. Eg. Transformers sequel? Cool! Shrek sequel? Boo!

This is one sequel, I would have to say, YAY!

If you remember Kung Fu Panda 1, you would remember how Po, from an unwanted panda, became a Dragon Master. He is just so cuddly and adorable! It took me quite a while, but I decided not to spoil this for you, cos you just HAVE to go and watch it! Bring children, and laugh along with them.

It made me cry, it made me laugh. Amazing show, worth watching with all your siblings/little kids. :)

Note to Self!

I have to complete my Bible Study homework till Chapter 5 before the 3rd week of June. :) Will spend my weekend doing this then! DISCIPLINE!

UPDATE: I have completed my homework! YAYYY :D

Question of The Day: Hidden Talent

So today's question by @motivationMY is:

"What is your hidden talent?"

Seems like a very simple question right? And then, I started to experiment. As the tweets came along, I tried to do one of it and found that I could wriggle my ears as well.

I think my dancing isn't a hidden talent because I don't hide it, and perform quite frequently. But I think my singing is a hidden talent, considering that since the age of 16, I have stopped singing in public. I may be good in sports, I'm not sure, as that has yet to be discovered. I then realized, wow. Actually, the only reason that they're called "hidden talents", is cos they are "hidden". Hence, in order to know what you're talented in, you'd have to try everything.

I realized that my boyfriend's hidden talent is in singing. He may not know it, and he may actually disagree with me, but I think he has a nice voice. I like it when we start jamming to the radio. He doesn't like to go karaoke-ing, but I'm making him take one trip with me. Hehe. I like his voice and I actually think that he can sing. I wonder why he keeps doubting himself?

It's quite hidden the fact that I can ripple my tummy. It moves in kinda like a wave movement? My colleagues were shocked, and amused by the fact that I could do this. I'm glad that I was able to put a smile on their faces even during these very stressed times. Although I don't find it a talent, I also found out not many people can do it. This means that it would qualify as a talent. WHEEE :)

Question of The Day: Physical Change!

So today's question by @motivationMY is:

"What do you want to change about your physical self and why?"

Obviously, my list was too long to tweet, so I mentioned a few and I ended it with, "...but God made me perfect so I'm not complaining :)".

That's technically not true. If I wasn't complaining, I wouldn't even have a list in the first place no? So anyway, here are my physical changes which I would like to have and why:

  • Double eyelids: I didn't want to be the typical asian, and thought that double eyelids would make me look different. But apparently, most Asians have double eyelids anyway. But now, I want them because I think make-up application would be so much easier compared to what I have now. I have to deliberately look for make-up techniques for girls with single eyelids so that I can look like "normal".
  • Dimples: My boyfriend has this cute little dimple (Yes, only one side!). I want one too. I don't intend to do it surgically although I found out that it is completely possible, as I don't believe in plastic surgery. I think my boyfriend looks adorable in a dimple, and I think it would be really cute if I had one too, no? :P
  • Sharper nose: I would really love to have a nose which is sharper and more distinct. I have a very shallow bridge but my "alars" are very nice and I'm happy with that. Just want a higher/sharper bridge.
  • Slimmer body: I honestly wanna have the Yankaykay body minus the plastic surgery. But in terms of body, all she had was a boob job. I'm honestly quite happy with "that" part of my body, and so, all I want is a smaller lump of fat along my belly. I really don't like that, and apparently, I can't seem to lose it, but I'm still trying. :P
  • Skinnier legs: I have reason to believe that my legs are quite strong. It's just that, my calves and thighs are super HUGE! I just want them to be reduced, that's all. Oh, and while I'm there, could I add a few inches to that as well? :)
So, that's at least FIVE things I'm not happy with myself. But am I insecure? Actually, sometimes, I do feel insecure and would like to change all these things. But then again, I think back and say, I have an amazing and bubbly personality and I wouldn't give them up for the world. :)

I do firmly believe that God made each and every one of us, special in each of our own ways. I may not like how I look, but my personality makes me who I am, and I'm proud to say that I have a nice outgoing personality. And at the end of the day, that will account for what I do, in this world.

I believe that I am perfect, in my own way. You should too :)

Question of The Day: Freelance Career

So Friday's question by @motivationMY was:

"Is freelancing the in-thing now?"

I tweeted that it would depend on the individual. Me, for example, would love to freelance, but I'm not as ambitious, and hence, I can't do that.

Why freelance at all?

For me, I want to. But I seem like I can't have the capabilities to. For now, I'm still working on a lot of things which will require me to spend a lot of time and money. For people who know what I work as, for now, it's kinda impossible. I wish I could put more time and effort into what I'm working on. Honestly, I think I would be so much happier, but I really can't afford it. I would love to freelance, and if you're really confident in what you're doing, go ahead. I really salute and take my hat off to those of you who are freelancing or planning to freelance. I wish I had your confidence. :)

It takes two to tango. The two is, self-confidence and faith!
